Pictured is the owner, Shane O’Brien. Shane has been involved in storage and warehousing for the past few years but also comes from a strong retail background. While studying in Dublin and Maynooth, he worked in Spar Express on the Callan road where he then progressed to become the store manager. Using his experience in retail, Shane has adopted a customer oriented approach to a much needed service in Kilkenny, Leinster, and Ireland.
Born and raised in Kilkenny, Shane has a thorough understanding of the needs of the local areas and has been involved with communities by volunteering and through his local GAA club, Dicksboro. Although raised in Kilkenny, studying in Dublin & Maynooth made Shane realise the demand for storage on a national & international scale. His friends and their families relocating from Dublin, Ireland, and abroad all required affordable storage solutions for their move.
In Sturdy’s relatively short term being open, Shane has helped approximately 200 Kilkenny locals, and a further 100 national / international customers with their storage needs. In addition to this, Shane understands the necessity for businesses to reduce costs where possible. With this in mind, a number of companies have regained valuable office and retail space by availing of a long-term storage unit here. These units were tailored specfically to the customer’s requirements.
